The objective is to destroy the other capital ship and support ships (like the frigates) by blowing up stuff both inside and outside the ship. New Space Mode: The flying controls and gameplay should be 100% ported from this game, Criterion did an amazing job. Also maybe go with the Battlefield 5 type of scoring system where you have a set number of reinforcements and you have to deplete the enemies? Might not work without a revive system, but would be something to look into. An improved map overview and squad spawn screen would always be welcome. So varying the amount of capture points between maps would give you more objectives to focus on. I think the command post count should vary per map, probably my biggest criticism of the current Supremacy mode is that every map has 5 command posts, which is really boring. For starters a higher player count should make the mode less empty. New Conquest Mode: Supremacy is a good start but needs a lot of refinement in my opinion. Maybe the rocket launchers would deal bonus damage during the bombing phase of the Walker? They don’t have to completely remove rocket launchers completely. Reimplement Uplinks: For the Walker Assault type game modes in particular, adding static uplinks would improve the mode a bit. I know that those weren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but it would make doing things like the trench run or blasting through the Scarif shield gate or even boarding Grievous’ flagship above Coruscant a possibility. I also wouldn’t mind seeing the return of purely starfighter phases of Galactic Assault like there were during the Battle Station and Infiltration game modes. So I think all maps should be redesigned with these changes in mind, which would greatly improve Galactic Assault. What makes the BF2015 maps much better is that (most of them) aren’t just straight lines from beginning to end, they bend and turn, as well as having lots of elevation changes, interior and exterior areas, and flanking opportunities. Especially on the Walker Assault style maps like Theed, the entire map is just one straight line from beginning to end, which is pretty boring.

Improve Galactic Assault: One thing that makes GA a pain to play is the terrible map design. HvV should see a bit of a rework making it more like the OG BF2 with more players, a higher score limit, and maybe the ability to spawn in like two of the same character or something like that? Just a thought. Blast should make a comeback for those who like straight TDM. They could also bring back Extraction as its own playlist or bring back Cargo, whatever works. Besides that, they could merge some of the smaller game modes from BF2015 like Droid Run, Drop Zone, Sabotage, etc into an improved Strike game mode that is more than just two different scenarios. Ideally, they could remake supremacy to be a ground to space type mode, but I just don’t see them doing that. Then, Supremacy should be split up into two separate game modes: a conquest style game mode on the ground and a ship boarding game mode in space.

Game Mode Selection: For game modes, they should first carry over Galactic Assault from this game. Era locking them will add a bit more immersion to the game. Having at lease 12 heroes on launch would be great, and they can carry over most of the hero selection from this game and the previous game. If it launches on the new consoles then hardware concerns shouldn’t be an issue.Įra Locked Heroes: Each faction should launch with at least 4 era specific heroes and villains. Ideally I’d like to see it even larger, but for now 64 players is good.

A lot of features that we want in the game aren’t going to make it into the game if DICE is not given time to develop it.ģ2v32 Gameplay: I think 20v20 is too small for the large scale modes and battles of Star Wars, so bumping that up to 32v32 should help a bit. Had this game been given an extra year to develop it might have been in a better state at launch, we possibly could’ve gotten more content at launch, and maybe the loot box fiasco could’ve been avoided (though I doubt it). Battlefield 5 was rushed and that turned out pretty bad, even BF2 felt kind of rushed when it launched.
